The Military Creator Survey is an independent research initiative designed to better understand the experiences, opportunities, challenges, and economic activity of creators connected to the U.S. military community.
The survey examines topics including military affiliation, creator activity, platforms and audiences, employment, entrepreneurship, creator revenue, brand partnerships, access to resources, and participation in the broader creator economy.
Findings may be used in research reports, articles, presentations, educational materials, industry analysis, and future initiatives intended to better understand and support the military creator community.
Participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate, skip any question you do not want to answer, or stop the survey at any time without penalty.
The survey is designed to take approximately 8–10 minutes for most participants. Some questions may appear or be skipped based on your previous answers, so completion time may vary.
Please participate only in your personal capacity. Do not provide classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), operationally sensitive information, proprietary information you are not authorized to disclose, or personally identifying information about another person.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
The survey includes questions about your background and your experiences as a creator or participant in the creator economy.
Some questions may ask about employment, business activity, creator revenue, sponsorships, compensation, or other financial matters related to your creator work. Every financial question includes a “Prefer not to say” option.
You may skip any question you prefer not to answer.
This survey involves minimal foreseeable risk. Some participants may feel uncomfortable answering questions related to income, finances, employment, military experiences, or professional activities. You may skip any question or stop participating at any time.
As with any information transmitted or stored electronically, no online system can guarantee absolute security. Reasonable administrative and technical measures will be used to protect survey information and limit access to research data.
You should not expect a direct personal benefit from participating. Your responses may, however, contribute to a better understanding of the military creator economy and help inform future research, resources, programs, partnerships, and industry decision-making.
Survey responses will be analyzed for research purposes.
Results may be reported in aggregate or in other de-identified forms that are not intended to identify individual participants. Findings may also be analyzed by categories such as military affiliation, creator type, platform, audience size, career stage, creator revenue range, demographic group, or other characteristics when there are enough responses to reasonably protect participant confidentiality.
Public reports will not intentionally identify an individual participant unless that person has separately and expressly agreed to be identified.
Sponsors, partners, advertisers, and participating brands will not receive identifiable individual survey responses.
They may receive published reports, aggregated statistics, research summaries, presentations, or other de-identified findings produced from the research.
If you choose to provide your name, email address, or other contact information, that information will be maintained separately from the primary research dataset and will not be included in public reporting.
Contact information will not be provided to sponsors, brands, advertisers, or other external partners as part of your individual research responses.
Contact information may be used for optional activities you separately agree to, such as entering a prize drawing, receiving study results, participating in future research, or receiving other communications.
Participation in any optional activity does not affect your ability to participate in the survey and does not change how your research responses are analyzed or reported.
The Military Creator Survey will take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of your information, but absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
Survey information may be accessible to authorized members of the research team and to service providers used to operate, host, secure, or analyze the survey and its data, subject to applicable agreements and privacy practices.
Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or other valid legal process.
Research data may be retained for research, comparison, analysis, and reporting purposes. Personally identifying contact information will not be intentionally included in published research findings without your separate permission.
